Samuel L. Jackson was among 6,000 mourners who gathered to remember comedian Bernie Mac at a service on Saturday.

Samuel – who appears alongside Bernie in new movie “Soul Men” – said: “Bernie always had time to shake a hand – he never said, ‘Back off.’ Whereas I don’t have a problem with doing that!”

Other celebrities who attended the moving service included Bernie’s “Ocean’s Eleven” co-star Don Cheadle and U.S. comic Chris Rock.

Messages of condolence for Bernie’s wife Rhonda and daughter Je’Niece were sent from U.S. TV talk show host Oprah Winfrey and Andy Garcia, who starred alongside Bernie in crime caper follow-up ‘Ocean’s Thirteen’.

During the ceremony, clips from Bernie’s stand-up comedy shows were broadcast on a large screen to the congregation, soundtracked by songs from legendary singer Isaac Hayes – who stars in “Soul Men” with Bernie and who died on August 10.

She’s been laying low-key as of late, but Kristen Stewart was spotted out taking care of her pet pooch in Los Angeles on Tuesday afternoon (February 3).

The “Twilight” actress toted her dog to the Westlake Village Animal Hospital, dressed casually in jeans and a grey hooded sweatshirt.

Meanwhile, Kristen just recently spoke to press about the “instant bond” she had with “Twilight” co-star Robert Pattinson.

“The chemistry between artists is difficult to define. But in my case when I looked at Robert it was like I could look into his heart, and he could do the same, and that was very important,” Stewart says. “That’s how I would describe the chemistry between us.”

Bam Margera, who also stars in a show called Jackass, has married his childhood girlfriend, People reports.

On Saturday, the professional skateboarder and MTV star exchanged vows with Missy Rothstein in downtown Philadelphia before 350 friends and family members – and, naturally, an MTV crew, which recorded the event for his reality show, Bam’s Unholy Union.

The wedding, which will be shown in the final episode of Bam’s Unholy Union in early April, included a show by Iggy Pop, and appearances by skateboard god Tony Hawk and pal Johnny Knoxville.

Margera, who made headlines last year when he matter-of-factly admitted to doing Jessica Simpson, got engaged to Rothstein last month while shopping at the Cartier store in the King of Prussia Mall, the New York Times reports.

that happened to fit her perfectly -and Margera proposed on the spot.

“I was like, ‘Now’s the time,'” Margera told the Times. “We just sat there and drank three bottles of champagne. Then we forgot to get gas on the way home, and we straight up ran out of gas on Route 202.”

Classy. We’re assuming Bam wasn’t headed the wrong direction a la Nicole Richie.

Like Britney and Justin, this cute couple has known each other since childhood. After being out of touch for a while when they were both involved in other relationships, Margera and Rothstein got back together two years ago.

“I love his spontaneity, even though it drives me crazy sometimes,” Rothstein said. “I’d be bored if he was normal like everyone else.”

That’s what Mandy Moore says about DJ AM. Oh wait, no she doesn’t, because that relationship is 100 percent for the cameras. Sorry.

Busily preparing for the launch of her new juniors clothing line, Avril Lavigne partook in a Abbey Dawn fashion shoot today in Los Angeles on Monday (January 26).

The Canadian rocker playfully posed in a variety of her penchant pink and black themed ensembles, also talking to a few on-set workers in between visits to her trailer.

As for the clothing line, the name Abbey Dawn is based on Avril’s childhood nickname, with Miss Lavigne telling that there will be “a lot of hot pinks and blacks and stars and purple and zebra. Basically, everything I wear. I have a very particular style. I want it to be available to a lot of girls, and I want it to be affordable. I walked through (a Los Angeles) Kohl’s the other day and said, ‘Oh, when my line is here it’s totally going to stand out.”

What’s really important to me is that everything fits well and is well-made, so I try everything on and approve it all. Getting geared up for the holiday season, Audrina Patridge was spotted hitting up the shops of Beverly Hills on Thursday afternoon (December 18).

The “Hills” hottie dropped by the always-popular Barneys New York, also venturing over to the Nike store before heading back to her car with a handful of purchases.

And though Audrina and the gang are signed up for one more season of the hit MTV reality show, the brunette beauty isn’t ready to speculae on how much longer the series will continue on.

When asked by E!, in her perfect world, how much longer The Hills would last, Miss Patridge replied, “I don’t know, it’s not my perfect world. It would just depend on who’s interested.”

Ready to bare all for the world, Aubrey O’Day will be gracing the cover of Playboy’s magazine’s March issue.

The former Danity Kane singer tells Us magazine, “I’m honored to be a part of the Playboy legacy and look forward to my March cover hitting newsstands on February 13.”Back in November, when it was first rumored that O’Day was shoot for the gentleman’s magazine, she told MTV, “You know, I think that Playboy for me was one of the most liberating things that I’ve done as a woman.”

“You could never imagine how empowering it is to be nude in front of cameras and have people looking at you in that way and seeing you as beautiful,” she adds. “A lot of the times I think I’m seen as a bad girl and I think that’s because I’m so open.”

Aubrey O’Day, ex-singer of Danity Kane, visited Earth Friendly Products at the Green Lodge at the Sundance Film Festival. Earth Friendly Products manufacture’s eco-friendly cleaning products for the home as well as a personal care line and a pet product line. This all sounds great and I am actually going to look into the brand because my husband is all about going green these days… but I can’t help but notice Aubrey’s outfit.
