“Last season’s ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ became one of the hottest shows on television — and this season will be even better,” said Trump. “We have an amazing cast of celebrities and we are looking forward to some fantastic entertainment.”
Last season, winner Piers Morgan changed the way the game was played, winning millions for charity. In the second season, the celebrities will compete in business-driven tasks around New York City using their fame, rolodexes and their business acumen to win weekly tasks, while ultimately battling with each other to stay out of the boardroom and avoid hearing those dreaded words “You’re Fired!” They’ll be subjected to long hours, grueling mental challenges, personality clashes and intense scrutiny — all without the help of their regular support system of agents, managers and personal assistants.
Don Imus was just fired by CBS Radio in the wake of his “nappy-headed hos” slur, meaning he will no longer be on the air, either on television or radio, effective immediately.
Imus was originally suspended by CBS for two weeks after he made his remark last week on his radio and television shows. MSNBC took the step of pulling his TV simulcast off the air yesterday, but public outrage swelled and advertisers disappeared in droves.
In a statement announcing the firing, CBS chairman Leslie Moonves said:
“From the outset, I believe all of us have been deeply upset and revulsed by the statements that were made on our air about the young women who represented Rutgers University in the NCAA Women’s Basketball Championship with such class, energy and talent. Those who have spoken with us the last few days represent people of goodwill from all segments of our society – all races, economic groups, men and women alike. In our meetings with concerned groups, there has been much discussion of the effect language like this has on our young people, particularly young women of color trying to make their way in this society. That consideration has weighed most heavily on our minds as we made our decision, as have the many emails, phone calls and personal discussions we have had with our colleagues across the CBS Corporation and our many other constituencies.“
Actor Don Cheadle will replace Terrence Howard as Robert Downey Jr’s in “Iron Man 2?. Reportedly there were financial issues with Howard, so they just replaced him with Cheadle. The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office received a tip more than a week ago about dogs being kept in inhumane conditions at the Phoenix-area home of rapper DMX. Sheriff’s deputies raided the home on Friday, seizing several pit bulls and finding the remains of three other dogs but making no arrests. Authorites claim the dogs weren’t being fed or given water. The 36-year-old musician and actor, whose real name is Earl Simmons, was not at home during the raid.
Following the deaths of Tupac Shakur and the Notorious B.I.G., DMX took over as the reigning, undisputed king of hardcore rap. DMX was the first artist ever to have his first four albums enter the charts at number one. His albums include It’s Dark and Hell Is Hot and Flesh of My Flesh, Blood of My Blood and Year of the Dog … Again
Proving to their fans that they haven’t lost their touch, Travis Barker and Adam “DJ AM” Goldstein took to the stage for an amazing performance last night in Las Vegas.
The former Blink-182 drummer and his deejay partner-in-crime were in fine form as they rocked through their set, much to the delight of concertgoers.
Also along for the ride (which was, of course ground transportation from LA to LV) was Barker’s ex Shanna Moakler, who was spotted sharing a VIP table with Dr. Dre during the show.
And when all was said and done, the crowd was decidedly pleased with the performance, with one fan telling press, “They haven’t missed a beat.”
She’s well-known for her burlesque dance routines, and over the weekend Dita Von Teese was spotted prepping up for a racy show at Paris, France’s Crazy Horse.
The 36-year-old lingerie lover looked fantastic in a lacy black dress as she posed for the paparazzi prior to taking the stage.
Of her penchant for the burlesque, Dita told press, “I’m just trying to bring back the original art form. Unfortunately it seems that now in America they’ve lost all sense of what burlesque really is. It’s just something very racy for them.”
She continued, “It’s not like in France where they still remember names like Mistinguett and Josephine Baker. In America they’ve completely forgotten this and have a hard time coming to terms with the idea that striptease could’ve been a form of classic entertainment. I like coming here to be appreciated.”
Sophia Bush, Jordana Brewster, Jessica Biel and Diora Baird all wore black to the premier of Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning. This is one of those movies I cannot go and see. They scare the living daylights out of me. This series and the Saw series will not and have not entered my home. Yes, I am a wuss. Whatever, I admit it. Give me a supernatural horror film any day of the week. But gory, psycho, ‘it might have a chance of happening to me on some dark road in the middle of nowhere’ movie – NO THANKS!

Momager Dina Lohan has poo-pooed rumors that her trouble-prone daughter, Lindsay, was booted from her guest role on the ABC series Ugly Betty after a diva spat with the show’s star, actress America Ferrera.
“It was just silly,” Dina Lohan said of the reports about her daughter on-set battle with the Golden Globe winner.
“America’s a doll. And they said [Lindsay] brought a posse. It was my mother and myself, and [sister] Ali. It was not a posse. We had sushi and no one trashed the room.”
