I’m someone who enjoys the Kaylor conspiracy. I do think it was interesting that on the night Taylor Swift won her third Album of the Year Grammy, Karlie Kloss and Joshua Kushner announced that they had welcomed their new baby. Whether or not Karlie and Taylor were ever romantically involved, it’s been clear for several years that they had a significant falling out. Considering how Taylor always likes to have big, public beefs, it’s extremely strange that she’s never really explained it lyrically or with some kind of blind item clues. One day Karlie and Taylor were BFFs, and one day they weren’t. And now Karlie gave birth on the same day as the Grammys, when Taylor was picking up Grammys for an album she wrote in relative isolation with Joe Alwyn. HMMM.
Karlie Kloss is a mom! The supermodel, 28, welcomed her first child with husband Joshua Kushner, who shared their baby’s arrival on Instagram Sunday. “Welcome to the world,” the new dad wrote.
The couple first announced their pregnancy in October, PEOPLE exclusively reported.
“Karlie is overjoyed to be expecting her first child in 2021,” a source close to Kloss told PEOPLE at the time. “She will be the most amazing mother.”
No one has said whether the child is a boy or girl, and Karlie’s pregnancy has mostly flown under the radar because of… well, everything else going on. She wasn’t hiding it, but she wasn’t talking about it constantly and I didn’t even know she was due so soon. Anyway, baby names? Taylor, Jaredina, Donny, Ivank, Swifterella, Joshua Jr., Karlie Jr, or none of the above? Joshua and Jared’s father is named Charles – if this baby is a boy, they’ll likely work Charles in there somewhere, the Kushner boys love their daddy.

Ashley Tisdale is currently expecting her first child with her husband of seven years, Christopher French. They made the announcement in September and judging by Ashley’s recent photos she’s due any day now. She’s also in a lot of pain. Ashley recently wrote an Instagram story about the fact that she’s suffering from plantar fasciitis, which is inflammation of the foot. She wrote that she’s short and that the added weight from her pregnancy is putting a strain on her feet. I didn’t see this when she posted it so here is People’s writeup about it.
Ashley Tisdale… said she is experiencing plantar fasciitis brought on by her pregnancy. The condition is caused by inflammation of the tissue that runs across the bottom of your foot and often causes stabbing pains for those who suffer from it, according to the Mayo Clinic.
“The worst part so far during this pregnancy is my plantar fasciitis,” Tisdale, 35, wrote on her Instagram Story Friday. “It literally hurts just to walk on my feet. I’ve never felt pain like this and I’m hoping once the baby is here it lets up.”
“I know there could be worse things but for someone who is constantly on their feet it can be pretty unbearable,” she added.
After followers began reacting to the post, Tisdale opened up further about the foot pain she’s been experiencing while pregnant with her baby girl on the way.
“It’s horrible,” she began in a video on her Story. “It’s very painful — hurts just to walk, anywhere every single day. It’s like your arches start to collapse because of how much weight is on my body.”
Tisdale continued, “I think she’s seven pounds right now and I’ve never carried that around before and I’m very short, I’m 5’3”, so yeah it’s definitely been painful. I’m really hoping it goes away eventually or when she’s outside of me.”
I got plantar fasciitis for the first time two weeks ago. It came on after I took a three mile hike in flat sneakers. Thankfully I was able to fix it over the course of a few very uncomfortable days. I rolled a frozen water bottle under my foot, took it easy, and got these shoe inserts my mom recommended. I bought three of them and put a pair in those flat sneakers, my slippers and a new pair of hiking boots. My feet are almost back to normal, but it was so painful and I couldn’t exercise for a while.
Ashley is feeling better too after getting advice from fans and friends. She posted this Instagram story, below, explaining that she’s been using a frozen water bottle and that she got a massager on Amazon along with insoles for her slippers. I posted this to Twitter so I would be able to embed the videos in this post. So many people responded that you suffer from this too. One friend said she had to crawl to help her son because her feet were so painful. I’m so sorry to all of you who have suffered from this! I also hope Ashley has lasting relief from plantar fasciitis and that she has an easy birth and healthy baby girl.

In a classic Friday news dump that made me legit scream, Page Six broke the news of Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez’s breakup. On Friday night, I wrote the first version of this piece, which I subsequently had to scrap and rework several times over the weekend. Let’s start with the sourcing. Late …
I believe in reproductive freedom, or as Hillary Thomas would say, libertad reproductiva. Every woman has the right to use or not use whatever birth control she wants. Every woman has the right to a timely and safe abortion. Every woman has the right to seek whatever fertility treatments she wants. Now, all that being said, when it comes to surrogacy and gestational carriers, I do believe that women should be free to seek those arrangements (on both sides), but the ethics are trickier because of horrendous exploitation issues, and at times the surrogacy and carrier issues can feel like the Wild West of the medical field. Which brings me to Hillary Baldwin, or “Hilaria.” Hilaria clearly decided to implant fertilized eggs into a gestational carrier (or surrogate) while she (Hilaria) was pregnant with Eduardo last year. The timeline of it is completely sketchy, and it is now widely believed that Hilaria pursued the surrogacy as soon as she learned that she was pregnant with another boy, and not with the longed-for niñera. Now suddenly, Hillary wants people to get out of her uterus. Then stop showing us your uterus, chica!!
Hilaria Baldwin doesn’t need to explain why she decided to expand her family the way she did, a source contends.
She and her husband Alec Baldwin surprised fans earlier this month when they announced the addition of a newborn daughter to their family, just months after Hilaria gave birth to son Eduardo “Edu” Pao Lucas in September 2020. The internet quickly went abuzz with questions about why the pair opted for surrogacy and why they did so given Hilaria would have already been pregnant with Edu at the time.
However, a source tells PEOPLE, “It’s no one’s business about a woman’s right to choose how and when she expands her family.”
Hilaria, 37, and Alec, 62, share sons Edu, Romeo Alejandro David, 2½, Leonardo Ángel Charles, 4, and Rafael Thomas, 5½, daughter Carmen Gabriela, 7, and now newborn María Lucía Victoria. (Alec is also dad to 25-year-old daughter Ireland.)
Another source recently told PEOPLE that the mom and dad are “so happy and spending time bonding together as a family,” adding that “Lucía’s big brothers and sister are all excited to have a new sibling.”
“It’s no one’s business about a woman’s right to choose how and when she expands her family.” Again, reproductive choice es muy bueno. But this is, how you say, an ethical quagmire. I find it very hard to believe that professional doctors in good standing of the New York medical board signed off on all of this, knowing that Hillary was pregnant at the time and knowing that she (apparently) gender-selected an embryo so she could get “la nina,” implanted into a surrogate. It’s fine to tell people to get out of your uterus except A) when you’ve built your career on your incessant oversharing, and B) in the case when it’s not HER f–king uterus. It was a uterus for hire! We have every right, as a society, to discuss these kinds of profoundly unethical and possibly exploitative issues. Este es un caso para el FBI!!

Last fall, we talked a lot about Robert Lacey’s book, Battle of Brothers, and certain claims he made about the falling out between Prince William and Prince Harry. It was fascinating because Lacey is a royalist and very well-connected to the palace aide complex, but he still managed to spill some tea and get kind of shady at times. Lacey said outright that palace aides worked behind the scenes to sabotage the Sussexes. He also said that William and Kate were happier now that the Sussexes were out of the UK, because W&K are (I’m paraphrasing) selfish, petty, small-minded people and they didn’t like to be overshadowed by Harry & Meghan’s rock star vibez.
I bring all of this up, because Lacey was insistent that it’s massively important for the future of the monarchy that William and Harry reconcile. I never really followed Lacey’s logic on that, but I’ve heard it echoed by the royal media over the course of the past 14 months, like their brains cannot compute the idea that two adult brothers are incapable of repairing their toxic relationship. Even Harry said as much in the Oprah interview – their relationship is “space” and there was an air of finality, or at least an ending to the close bond they once had. Still, people are obsessed with the idea that Harry HAS to fly to the UK in July for the unveiling of a statue of Diana in the Kensington Palace Garden, and that the reconciliation must proceed ASAP. Too bad William is a rage-monster.
The post-Oprah enmity between Prince William and Harry is so deep that it is “unthinkable” they will reunite for a long-scheduled unveiling of a memorial to their mother Princess Diana, The Sun on Sunday reports. The paper says that the royal siblings are “as far apart as it’s possible to be” after the Sussexes accused the royals of racism, and said his brother and father were “trapped” in royal life.
William refuted the non-specific accusations this week, telling reporters the royals were “not a racist a family,” however the royals have said they will tackle the accusations “privately” (for which read: no further public refutation of the shocking claims). Relations between the two brothers have been severely strained since Harry and Meghan announced their plans to “step back” from the family, but look utterly shattered after the Oprah interview in which Meghan and Harry denounced an unnamed member of the royal family as racist, putting all of the royals, including William, under a cloud of suspicion. The Sun reports that the princes have exchanged texts following the interview but have not spoken. This tallies with a claim in The Sunday Times that they have “been in contact.”
Although it had long been assumed that both brothers would be present together when the statue of their mum—which they commissioned—is unveiled in the Sunken Garden at Kensington Palace in July, this now looks in peril. A source told The Sun on Sunday: “William and Harry are as far apart as it’s possible to be—emotionally and physically. Their relationship is at rock bottom. William’s raging with Harry after the Oprah interview. He is so angry with him that it’s totally unthinkable at the moment for them to be happily reunited and stood together at the unveiling of the Princess Diana statue. It’ll take a lot of work to patch things up so they can put on united front.”
One, other outlets are noting the actual reason why Harry will likely skip the unveiling: because Meghan’s due date likely falls at the end of June or early July. Harry will choose Meghan and their children before the Salty Windsors every day of the week, and he’s shown that over and over again. The fact that Baldilocks is making it all about HIM and how he feels unspeakable, incandescent rage just says it all though. What kind of man watches his brother and sister-in-law in acute emotional pain from the ordeal they went through and reacts with… RAGE? With ANGER? Meghan was speaking about being in the lowest depths of misery and Harry had to see that, and live with what they were doing to his wife, just like they did to his mother. And William feels nothing but contempt, anger, rage. William is the one with the odd, inappropriate reaction, and yet I get the feeling that this is Kensington Palace’s official position. This is what they WANT to leak about Will being keen with violent rage at his brother. It’s beyond pathetic on so many different levels.

Megan Thee Stallion dominated the Grammys her first time out, performing two #1 hit songs, winning Best New Artist, and collecting two more awards for “Savage Remix”. Her first trophy came pre-telecast for Best Rap Performance, making her and her collaborator Beyoncé the first female artists to ever…
As we discussed, Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez are going through… something. Sources confirmed their split on Friday evening, but by Saturday morning, they were “back together” and issuing joint statements about how they were working through some sh-t. They’ve been together four years, and despite the near-constant rumors of Alex’s philandering, they’ve always seemed to be on the same page about everything. They effortlessly blended their families. Everybody gets along. J-Rod has advertising contracts and business investments as a couple. They had already started to commingle finances and buy property together. My point is that if they do end up breaking up for-real, it will already feel like a “divorce” even though they are not married. So is that what they’re working through? I don’t know, but Page Six (the outlet which broke the split news on Friday) has a better timeline of just what happened:
Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez were up all night talking after Page Six’s bombshell report that they broke up and by Saturday morning released a vague statement claiming they are “working through some things.”
“All the reports are inaccurate. We are working through some things,” the two claimed in a statement obtained by Page Six. The statement did not specifically acknowledge whether the mega-stars, collectively known as “J-Rod,” are still a couple — or even still engaged.
“They are trying to work through things… but it’s unclear if that means they are staying together,” a source close to the couple said. It wasn’t immediately clear what their all-night chin wag was about, but the power pair, who has a number of business interests together, have been figuring out how to divide their vast assets, sources have said. The two remain geographically apart. A source had told us on Friday of the pair: “He’s now in Miami getting ready for baseball season, and she’s filming her movie in the Dominican Republic.”
An insider close to the stars added, “they have been separated, and they’ve been having issues that couples often have.” The same source told us of the stunning report that the couple was splitting: “Could they have a change of heart? Page Six might be responsible for bringing them back together.”
The two were having a difficult time in their relationship in the weeks that led up to the split, insiders said. “For the last two weeks they have not been together and the last few days they were not good,” sources tell us. “They’ve been having some crazy issues.”
A source further adds that 51-year-old Lopez has “recently been very upset on the set” of her latest film, “Shotgun Wedding,” which is filming in the Dominican Republic. Rodriguez, meanwhile, has been home in Miami. Sources exclusively tell Page Six that Lopez and Rodriguez were preparing to tell their children about the split Friday afternoon after Page Six called for comment.
Meantime, the trouble in paradise came after rumors A-Rod had been FaceTiming with “Southern Charm” star Madison LeCroy. Sources close to the baseball legend shot down the rumors to The Post last month by saying, “He doesn’t know this woman.” LeCroy, however, admitted the couple have “spoken on the phone,” but have “never met up” to Page Six. LeCroy did not comment when Page Six reached out to her on Friday.
Sources close to A-Rod and J.Lo are adamant that the LeCroy rumors did not cause the recent rift between the couple. A source told Page Six on Friday, “There were already problems, but Jennifer was really embarrassed by it.”
Whew, a lot to unpack here. I think this is one of the most interesting parts: “They’ve been having some crazy issues” combined with “Lopez has ‘recently been very upset on the set’ of her latest film.” My take is that his quiet philandering was one thing, but Jennifer found out about something BIG pretty recently, like in the past month, and she’s been wrestling with whether or not to stick it out with Alex or just end it and untangle herself from his mess. And I do think it’s about an affair on his part – this whole drama is not about finances or distance or even the pandemic. It’s not a situation where “they were just getting on each other’s nerves.” This is a situation where he was banging someone else and she found out. That’s the only thing that makes sense to me.
Also: I think we can safely say that the Shotgun Wedding movie is officially cursed, right? Jennifer’s leading man was supposed to be Armie Hammer before he exited in a blaze of cannibalism and abuse. Now she finds out something major about A-Rod while she’s working on the movie? CURSED!

Dear Gossips, The people who produced the Grammys, as in the broadcast, are not the Recording Academy. They have to work with the Recording Academy, obviously, but they’re not responsible for how the Recording Academy manages the Grammys, like the actual awards. So you can have a conversation about …

Last night, during the red carpet coverage on E!, Kaiser and I were messaging each other about how terrible it was that none of the correspondents or attendees were wearing masks. It was striking, especially compared to the show where the attendees and backup dancers wore masks. I understand why people would take off their masks for photos, but they were talking to each other. It felt like this was a decision that E! made, which they never acknowledged. It’s very possible that many of them have been vaccinated and don’t want to acknowledge it. However they should still be wearing masks!
Doja Cat was one of the first and most noticeable people on the carpet. She was in this Cavalli gown which was a moto jacket on top with a green and black feather skirt. You can see the double sided tape working on the bodice to hold her in. Her styling is very Joan Jet and was spot on for this look. Doja was nominated in three categories, Record of The Year, Pop Solo Performance and New Artist, all of which went to other musicians. She performed Say So last night and you can see that on the Grammys website. She wore a Jean Paul Galtier futuristic full body suit on stage.
Noah Cyrus was in this ridiculous voluminous white Shiaparelli gown. It looks like a duvet bunched up behind her head. She was nominated in the New Artist category despite the fact that she’s been a nepotism musician for some time. Also she did not look happy to have her mom posing next to her.
Phoebe Bridgers was nominated in four categories but didn’t take home any Grammys. She brought her mom, Jamie, with her, whom I just learned is a stand up comic! That’s really cool. Jamie was the only person I saw on E! who wore a mask, which she pulled down when she was asked a question. Then, Jamie tried to step back when Giuliana Rancic looked like she was going to approach her, and Giuliana told her not to step away! Giuliana has already had covid so she probably doesn’t care. The whole E! red carpet was a mess. Anyway Phoebe was in this cute Thom Browne skeleton dress. She told Giuliana “I wear a skeleton costume all the time, but one of the reasons I do is because I saw this Thom Browne dress forever ago and thought it was so cool and I asked for it. I basically stole it.”
It looks like her brother was there too!

Ingrid Andress was another Best New Artist nominee, that category went to Megan Thee Stallion. She was in a crisp Armani Prive white suit with stacked beads draped down the middle. She said that she doesn’t wear dresses and asked for this look, which I love.

The 93rd Oscars will happen on April 25th, more than two months delayed from their original date, which was supposed to be in February. My guess is that the average person probably thinks the Oscars already happened anyway, so I’m curious what the vibe will be once the Oscars go on so late in the “season.” The Oscar nominations came out this morning, and let’s get to it! I really, really want to see The Father, but I have not gotten a chance yet. Anthony Hopkins and Olivia Colman both look like they’re doing major work though. I loved The Trial of the Chicago 7 AND The Sound of Metal. Those were my two favorite movies from the past year, and I’m really glad that they were both recognized for Best Picture, and that Riz Ahmed and Sacha Baron Cohen got nominated! Interesting to see the late surge for Minari, and I hope more people see that movie! It’s also really cool to see two women in the Best Director category. I appreciated Promising Young Woman and Carey’s performance in particular, but that film is… A LOT. It f–ked me up. But I’m super-proud of Emerald Fennell for all of the praise she’s getting. Last thing: Glenn Close!! HILLBILLY ELEGY! CAN WE NOT.
