Oh my God, you guys, guess what? We’re still talking about who did the crying at the bridesmaid’s fitting before the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s wedding! For nearly two and a half years, we heard one basic version of the story, which is that Meghan “made Kate cry” at the fitting. Over the years, the context of the disagreement and tears changed. In some versions, Kate was crying over Meghan’s general rudeness, either to her or to staff. In some versions, Kate was keenly weeping over children’s tights. In still other versions, Kate was rage-sobbing over the fit of Princess Charlotte’s dress. We were still hearing versions of “Meghan made Kate cry” just days before the Sussexes’ interview. It was insane.
During the H&M’s Oprah interview, Meghan revealed her side of things, which had been missing this entire time. In Meghan’s version, Kate made her cry by being unnecessarily rude, although Meghan did not give specifics about what was actually said. Meghan seemed to avoid specifics out of a desire to protect Kate, to avoid detailing just how bitchy Kate had been to her. Meghan made sure to mention that Kate brought her flowers and a note of apology though. Well, Kate is still really f–king mad that Meghan blew up her dumb, psychotic crying story. People close to Kate (perhaps her mother) already ran to Richard Kay at the Daily Mail once for an absolutely unhinged article about sturdy Middleton blood and how Meghan totally made Kate cry in some alternate reality. Well, Kay is at it again. He and another Mail writer decided to “fact check” the Sussexes’ Oprah interview, and wouldn’t you know, they won’t let this crying thing f–king die.
For almost a week their voices — angry, entitled, vengeful and bitter — have echoed over the airwaves. And in their wake has come the sound and fury of recrimination. Across the globe, the Harry and Meghan interview has divided families, communities and even nations. Its fallout has been greater than anyone could have imagined. We have been bisected by race, by gender and by age….Gripping television it may have been, as Harry set about his family with an at times cold and ruthless detachment, but viewers were entitled to ask — and to expect — that these assertions would be questioned.
Six months after the 2018 royal wedding, reports began to emerge that Meghan had made Kate cry following a fitting for the bridesmaids’ dresses (Princess Charlotte was one of Meghan’s six bridesmaids). But Meghan claims that, in reality, ‘the reverse happened’, telling Oprah that she was the one who had been reduced to tears, not Kate. In her interview, she claimed Kate had subsequently said sorry for the incident, too.
‘It was a really hard week of the wedding. And she was upset about something, but she owned it, and she apologised. And she brought me flowers and a note, apologising. And she did what I would do if I knew that I hurt someone, right, to just take accountability for it.’
Intriguingly, The Times this week shed further light on the episode, reporting that the day after the incident, the Duchess of Cambridge had indeed taken a bunch [of] flowers to Nottingham Cottage, Harry and Meghan’s home at Kensington Palace at the time, as a peace offering. According to the newspaper, Meghan then slammed the door in her future sister-in-law’s face. If that’s true, one can safely assume that both she and Kate were hugely upset. It’s therefore perfectly possible that both cried.
However, a third scenario is presented by perhaps the most compelling source of all: Meghan’s pet journalist, Omid Scobie. In his biography Finding Freedom, published with Meghan’s apparent approval, he confidently declared that no one had cried, saying: ‘There were no tears from anyone.’
Whatever took place during the wedding dispute, Meghan appears to have been hugely upset that the claim she’d ‘made Kate cry’ ended up in print. She told Oprah that she found it ‘hard to get over’ the Palace’s failure to then put her version of events on the record. Later, she elaborated: ‘They were willing to lie to protect other members of the family, but they weren’t willing to tell the truth to protect me and my husband.’
It’s unclear (because Oprah failed to ask) who exactly these ‘liars’ were. Or what ‘lies’ they supposedly told. However, convention would have made it impossible for royal press officers to make any comment on what was a deeply personal (and private) incident in which basic facts were likely to be in dispute. As an insider told us: ‘There were clearly two versions of the same event. Whatever the institution said would only draw more attention to it.’
Palace press officers are, of course, public servants. Unlike Hollywood PR agents, they cannot — and should not — contest every single false rumour.
They’re really pissing themselves over this, aren’t they? I can smell the outright desperation to constantly frame Kate as a delicate flower, a weakling who was beset upon by an unhinged American. The white fragility to downright INSIST that Kate cried because of Meghan AT SOME POINT and therefore Kate didn’t actually lie for years… wow. As for the asinine argument that Kensington Palace never denied the story because “there were clearly two versions of the same event”… that means Kate is so ridiculous and crazy that she was Single White Female-ing Meghan and assuming Meghan’s experience and demanding that everyone know that “Meghan made Kate cry.” At least we know who was telling everyone that “Meghan made Kate cry” in the first place. Weird that KP was totally fine with only one of those versions being out there. That’s the “tell” that Kate was always the f–king source.

Beyonce made a liar out of me! She ended up attending the Grammys after all. I thought that because Beyonce said “thanks but no thanks” to performing at the Struggle Grammys, that meant she was lowkey boycotting. She showed up late, just in time to pick up some Grammys. For Beyonce’s work on the remix of Megan Thee Stallion’s “Savage,” the two Houston women won the Grammys for Rap Song and Rap Performance. Beyonce also picked up Grammys for R&B Performance for Black Parade, and the award for Music video for “Brown Skinned Girl.” Meanwhile, Megan won Best New Artist as well as the Grammys she shared with Bey. For Bey, the four new Grammys put her total Grammy-history haul at 28 Grammys total. She’s still never won Album of the Year. Which just shows you what a sham the Grammys are.
Beyonce wore a black leather mini dress by Schiaparelli Haute Couture which… was okay. I mean, it wasn’t the best thing she ever wore, but it suited the occasion and I tend to believe it was probably a last-minute decision, and she likely picked it out of her closet because she decided to just turn up to support Megan. As for Megan, this was her big coming-out party at the Grammys, the pandemic be damned. Megan went full glam in a Dolce & Gabbana gown and Chopard jewels. She looked beautiful and glamorous.
Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion performed together late into the Grammys show. They did WAP!! I mean they edited this audio for language so it doesn’t make any sense. But it’s still fun and you can see Post Malone loved the show!

I thought it was interesting last week, as the UK press dealt with the fallout from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s Oprah interview, that there really wasn’t much talk about Buckingham Palace’s investigation into Meghan “bullying staffers.” That whole character assassination went out the window as soon as people saw the interview – details can be nitpicked (and they already are being nitpicked) but it was clear that certain broad strokes cannot be questioned: palace staffers treated Meghan horribly, she went to many people for help and she was turned down, she begged (in writing) for people to clap back on the negative stories, and it got so bad that she was suicidal. Oh, and she has a paper trail for everything. Just days before the Oprah interview aired, Buckingham Palace was super-eager to sign on for the smear campaign about “Meghan the Bully” and now, rather suddenly, they want to get this far away from the Palace.
Buckingham Palace’s inquiry into claims that the Duchess of Sussex bullied royal staff is to be handed to independent external investigators, raising the stakes in the standoff that has engulfed the royal family. In a surprise move that will increase tensions between Harry and Meghan and “the Firm”, royal officials have decided that a third-party law firm should conduct the investigation, rather than the in-house inquiry the Palace first announced.
Several former and current royal aides who were prevented from giving evidence in court during Meghan’s recent legal case about privacy are expected to speak to the inquiry. Last month two senior members of staff claimed they were bullied by Meghan. Another former employee said they had been personally “humiliated” and claimed two members of staff had been bullied. She denies the allegations. But a royal source claimed: “The actual worst incidences haven’t come out. There are some harrowing stories to tell.” Another Palace source said: “There’s a lot that could come out in the wash that hasn’t been told.”
In a twist that threatens to sour relations further, the Sussexes are not expected to be invited to take part in the inquiry, despite having written to the Palace about it. The review aims to “learn lessons” by taking evidence from members of staff past and present.
It is understood that the Palace is determined the inquiry should “not be played out in public” to ensure all those taking part “feel comfortable”. It is thought the inquiry will begin imminently, with no set time frame. A royal source said: “It will take as long as it will take.”
A Palace spokesman said: “Our commitment to look into the circumstances around the allegations from former staff of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex is being taken forward but we will not be providing a public commentary on it.
A spokesman for the Sussexes declined to comment. But when the claims were first made, lawyers for the duchess, who denies bullying, said the reports were a “calculated smear campaign” and the media was “being used by Buckingham Palace to peddle a wholly false narrative” about Meghan.
A source with knowledge of the allegations welcomed the move to hand the inquiry to a third party: “It’s a reassuring sign about the Palace’s attitude to it, they’ve got a lot of work to do.”
“In a surprise move that will increase tensions between Harry and Meghan and ‘the Firm’” – this actually reads like Buckingham Palace is trying to decrease tensions and – gasp – ensure that someone outside the institution gets a handle on what really went down in Kensington Palace in 2018. I’m curious about “the Sussexes are not expected to be invited to take part in the inquiry, despite having written to the Palace about it.” So… BP hired an independent investigation but the Palace is still calling the shots and limiting how the lawyers investigate? I don’t believe that either – I think this is Kensington Palace’s spin and they’re starting to realize that they’re f–ked. Guess how I know that?
The Duchess of Sussex has written to Buckingham Palace demanding to see any documents, emails or text messages relating to the bullying complaint against her, The Mail on Sunday can reveal. A senior Palace aide had accused her of ‘unacceptable behaviour’ towards two personal assistants and undermining the confidence of a third. The Palace has now launched an inquiry into the claims. But in a clear indication that the Duchess is preparing to fight back against what she has termed ‘a smear campaign’, a senior Palace source confirmed that her office had ‘written to request the evidence’.
In response, the Queen has passed the request to the Prince of Wales, whose closest aides are now conducting a search of files.
You see where this is going, right? Meghan wants to see ALL of the palace’s receipts. These people will look compromised if they refuse Meghan’s request to be part of the investigation into her own behavior and if they don’t let her defend herself. So then Meghan will come in and drop her own receipts. Oh, and by the way, Buckingham Palace DOES want this to go away. None of these royal courts want people to look into which HR investigations are leaked and which ones aren’t. No one wants anyone to ask questions about the Duke of York’s perversions and rape. No one wants to see more attention drawn to William screaming at staffers.

Intro: Minutes 0 to 5:30
I saw Sound of Metal on Chandra’s recommendation and she saw The Trial of the Chicago 7. We loved both of those movies. We would be glad if Riz Ahmed won best actor at the Oscars, but think Chadwick Boseman will win that unless he’s nominated in the supporting category. You can listen below!
Royals: Minutes 5:30 to Minute 42
Meghan and Harry’s interview with Oprah was so much more revealing than we expected and they went through so much more than we could have imagined. When Meghan was pregnant the royal family said they would not give Archie a title and that they were going to pull their security detail. They also never lifted a finger to tell the press to stop smearing Meghan. At the same time they were controlling her by telling her how much she could go out and they also took away her passport, driver’s license and keys. Every time she traveled Kensington Palace would leak the details. Meghan revealed that in 2019 when she was pregnant with Archie she was suicidal and reached out to senior palace officials to help. They told her she couldn’t get help because she wasn’t a paid employee. Meghan did not reveal whom she spoke to. Chandra got the impression it was a senior royal. Other people thought it was senior staff like The Queen’s secretary. There was a pattern of the royals trying to push out Meghan and erase her. I play a segment from Zoom where Karen, Courtney and Susan talk about this.
Minute 11:00: Everything changed for Harry and Meghan after they went on that South Pacific tour and she was met with crowds and adoration. Meghan’s pregnancy and the success of the tour made the palace work harder to smear her. Harry and Meghan dropped a blind item that someone in his family had concerns about how dark Archie’s skin would be. Harry said that conversation “was right at the beginning… ‘What will the kids look like?’” Chandra thinks that the royal who said that was William, because we heard that they had a falling out over Meghan in 2016.
Minute 16:00: We also got clarification on one ongoing years-long story smearing Meghan, which the press was repeating as of last week, that she allegedly made Kate cry at a bridesmaid’s fitting. Kate is the one who made Meghan cry, and it was so bad that Kate sent Meghan flowers to apologize. The story got reversed and used to smear Meghan. Chandra says Kate is happy to play the fragile white woman. I play a segment from Zoom where Karen, Mikeala, Tanisha, Ameerah, Sara and Jasmine talk about this. Chandra mentions that they’re still trying to twist this to make Kate the victim of Meghan. I read a segment from a Daily Mail article with Richard Kay in which they claim that Meghan is obsessed with Kate. We say that we think Meghan has receipts and sent email about it and that was before we heard that she did do that!
Minute 24:15: I mention the line from the article that people are pointing out is racist. “[Kate] is resilient; Middleton family blood has seen to that.” I remember that terribly racist article claiming “the Windsors will thicken their watery, thin blue blood and Spencer pale skin and ginger hair with some rich and exotic DNA.” Chandra says this type of blood line thinking is common in India due to the caste system.
Minute 26:00: Camila Tominey wrote the original story about Meghan making Kate cry. In a recent interview, she defended her sources.
Minute 27:30: We finally got a statement from the royal family on Tuesday afternoon our time, which was the evening in England. During the day we heard that The Queen had “refused to sign off” on a statement Monday night to de-escalate tension with The Sussexes. The statement included the line “While some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately.” Last week they made such a big deal about investigating Meghan’s alleged bullying, but they say they’re going to privately address systemic racism. I mention the article from the Times of London Chandra published Thursday, which came out Sunday before the interview. It blamed Meghan for everything that happened to her and claimed that the palace couldn’t be racist because they hired a Black man, for the first time, to be a mentor to her.
Minute 30:00: Katie Nicholl had a piece in Vanity Fair with Charles’ reaction to the interview and it’s so bad! A source claims “There is not a racist bone in his body and to suggest otherwise is very hurtful.” Charles is more hurt by being called racist than by actually being racist and needing to examine his behavior.
I mention that Chandra predicted Piers Morgan’s response to Meghan, which was to criticize her for breathing basically. Meghan had drinks with him once and he became psychotic and obsessed with her. Women on twitter are sharing their experiences with men like this. Piers left his job at ITV, he likely got fired, after over 41,000 people complained about him dismissing mental health on his show and Meghan was one of them. This was after he was called out by multiple guests for his years of hating on Meghan and after he walked off set when he was mildly questioned about it by weatherperson Alex Beresford. That reminds me of the way Sharon Osbourne reacted on The Talk to being gently questioned about racism by Sheryl Underwood.
Minute 34:45: Meghan’s friend, Janina Gavankar, confirmed that Meghan has the receipts, which Meghan heavily implied in the interview as well. I play a segment from Zoom where Tanisha, Ameerah, Mickeala and Sara talk about the receipts.
Minute 38:45: Prince Charles visited a vaccine site at a predominantly Black church in London. The optics of Black people bowing to Prince Charles were so bad. He said, to a Nigerian woman, “Oh fantastic, yes, I’ve been there. Lots of different ethnic groups. Do give them my kind regards next time you speak to them.” It sounded like he was telling her to say hi to Nigeria for him.
On Thursday morning, Kate and William visited a school. Unlike Charles in his photo op, William deigned to answer a question from a journalist afterwards. He said “we’re very much not a racist family.” Chandra mentions this clip from an LA news station where the anchor pointed out that William hadn’t contacted Harry in several days at that point despite Meghan saying she had been suicidal.
Comments of the week: Minutes 42:00 to end
My comments of the week is from Alexandria on the post about the Queen not signing the statement supporting the Sussexes. Chandra’s comment of the week is from Rapunzel on the post about Meghan filing a complaint against Piers Morgan.

While I’m not happy at all with the Grammys’ maskless red carpet, I am grateful that we have actual PHOTOS from a red carpet. It’s been too long. Taylor Swift is getting her own post because she’s Tay-Tay. Taylor was nominated for several Grammys, all for Folklore (her first quarantine album) or for her first single off Folklore, “Cardigan.” Taylor ended up winning one Grammy last night, but it was one of the big ones: Folklore won Album of the Year. I don’t know… I kind of feel like that’s well-deserved? Folklore was a big deal and the Snake Fam looooved that album. I even liked some of the songs! This AOTY win means that Taylor has won the prestigious top prize three times – her first and second AOTY wins were for Fearless and 1989.
Taylor wore a custom Oscar de la Renta dress which suited her and suited the “Folklore era.” Very Woman of the Woods, flower-strewn forest, pastel fairy vibes. Taylor has had bangs for a few years now, but last night at the Grammys, that was the worst her bangs trauma has ever looked, in my opinion. I don’t know if she gave her bangs a too-short trim before the show or what, but they were almost baby bangs and she straightened them too! I kind of feel like her bangs alone ruined the styling of this really lovely dress.
Taylor also performed a medley of songs from Folklore in what people said was a prerecorded bit? Which was fine, the performance was fine. Tay hasn’t posted it to her YouTube page as of this writing. The Grammys did post the video of her AOTY win though:
The fans are the reason we’re floating tonight, and we’ll never forget it. pic.twitter.com/njcuumt52u

Harry Styles could get it. Full stop. He’s so sexy!! He has good hair, he’s stylish as can be, he has the voice of an angel, and he’s one of the best dancers in music today! Harry got to open the Grammys with a really great performance of “Watermelon Sugar.” He ended up picking up one Grammy for Pop Solo Performance for the same song. Personally, I do think his album, Fine Line, and the hit songs from it should have been nominated for more Grammys. Harry is a big deal. Oh, and Harry wore two different custom Gucci looks, including an amazing black leather Gucci suit for his performance.
Billie Eilish also wore a custom Gucci look, including a coordinated mask (Harry had a coordinated mask too). Billie performed early in the night and then she went on to win two Grammys, including one of the big ones, Record of the Year, for “Everything I Wanted.” Women picked up all of the big awards – Billie got ROTY, Taylor got AOTY, Thee Stallion got Best New Artist and H.E.R. won Song of the Year.
Lizzo wore two custom Balmain looks for the Grammys. She coordinated with Bvlgari jewels. She looks really good?
Photos courtesy of Getty.
Dua Lipa is so beautiful to me, and she looked incredible on the Grammys red carpet in this surprisingly good Versace look. She ditched the blonde hair and for her Grammys performance, she ditched most of her clothes. Dua picked up the Grammy for Pop Vocal Album for her hit album, Future Nostalgia too, but she lost in the other five categories in which she was nominated, including Album, Record and Song of the Year. I’m also including her performance, which… musically was fine. I love my girl Dua but choreography isn’t her thing and that’s FINE! Every pop star doesn’t need to be a “dancer.” I feel like she should just embrace it.
Haim wore coordinated custom Prada looks on the Grammy red carpet. Yeah… this looks like Prada, and I don’t mean that as a compliment. The only thing missing here? Weirdly puckered boob darts, a near-constant design choice of Prada looks.
Miranda Lambert wore Genny, in what was just a kind of basic, boring dress. She did arrive at the Grammys with her husband Brendan McLoughlin, and I remain shocked that they’re still together. She spent most of the time on the red carpet posing solo though. Hm!!

On the evening of March 3, Sarah Everard was walking home from a friend’s house. She was walking from Clapham to Brixton in London. Everard was wearing a brightly-colored jacket and a mask. She walked along a route in full view of people and CCTV cameras. She had her phone with her. She was still murdered. The police found her body last week, and two people have already been arrested and charged with her murder. One of those people is Wayne Couzens, “an elite officer with London Metropolitan Police’s diplomatic protection command.” She was murdered by a cop. I don’t have words for how gutted I am for Sarah’s family and friends.
Everard’s disappearance and murder started a national conversation in Britain, and a conversation globally. The conversations are about how women modify their behavior so they won’t be assaulted, harmed or murdered, while men just declare “not all men” and do nothing as other men prey on women. It’s a conversation about violence against women, men who abuse their power, men who hurt women and, clearly, how every police department in the world needs to cleanse their police forces of men who murder, rape and assault people. Nerves are raw in the UK especially as Everard’s disappearance and murder became a massive story.
Against this backdrop, the Duchess of Cambridge thought she would do a lil’ photo-op at Clapham Common bandstand, where people have been leaving flowers at a makeshift memorial for Sarah for days. This happened Saturday afternoon.
The Duchess of Cambridge has paid her respects to Sarah Everard at Clapham Common bandstand pic.twitter.com/fOCDsV8SuR
— Thomas Newton (@SkyTNewton) March 13, 2021
Kensington Palace obviously confirmed that Kate had laid flowers at the memorial, and that Kate “wanted to pay her respects to the family and to Sarah…She remembers what [it] was like to walk around London at night before she was married.”
I mean… obvious photo-op is obvious. If it had just been a respectful photo posted to the Kensington Royal social media, I think maybe it would have landed better, PR-wise? But the fact that Kensington Palace’s communication team sent Kate out, informed the press so they could set up the videographer, then Kate’s bodyguards stood back so that everyone could get a clean shot of MASKLESS Kate in the crowd… it reads like Kate is using a murder victim to fix her own terrible PR. And why did KP think this would land better if they staged it like this? It really is a clownshow over there. Plus, it reads as false and a staged photo-op because it’s so inauthentic to Kate. Kate, who couldn’t even be bothered to wear black at the BAFTAs for #MeToo. Kate, who has literally never mentioned women’s rights or girls’ rights or sexual violence or domestic violence or anything like that. Guess she was finally keen.
Oh, and shortly after Keen Kate’s keen photo-op, the cops moved in and got violent with the people (mostly women) at the makeshift memorial.
so kate middleton was allowed her photo op but when protesters go in to actually grieve the police attack and disappear them? ACAB always

So The Police hung back tonight, just long enough for the Duchess to get her “Secret” photo op, then they moved in to slam girls heads to the ground.

So the news broke on Friday evening, as so many celebrity split announcements do. Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez have broken up and called off their engagement, sources confirmed to Page Six, E! News and People Magazine. J-Rod had been together for four years, and their extended two year engagement was mostly because they kept having to cancel their wedding plans because of the pandemic. Jennifer seemed rather ambivalent about the wedding cancellations, which should have been our first sign that something was amiss. People’s source said the breakup “has been a long time coming. They are tied in their business worlds so it’s not a cut and dry breakup. It’s taken a while for them to even think about untangling it all.” A long time coming hmmmm. And then by Saturday morning, after all that, they were back together.
Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez have announced they are staying together.
“We are working through some things,” they said in a joint statement obtained by PEOPLE.
“They never officially broke up and talked about it but are still together. They hit a rough patch. But were not broken up,” a source close to the pair tells PEOPLE. The source added that the speculation that arose last month that Rodriguez had had an affair after Southern Charm’s Madison LeCroy “had no bearing on the rough patch at all. ”
“She’s working in the Dominican Republic and he’s in Miami so it’s tough seeing each other especially with quarantining and COVID,” the source adds of Lopez and Rodriguez, “but they want to try to stay together.”
The announcement came hours after multiple sources confirmed to PEOPLE that Lopez, 51, and Rodriguez, 45, had split.
Wow, it feels like it’s been years since Jennifer has been in this particular kind of relationship drama, right? I’m sure her breakup with Marc Anthony was pretty messy, but they never telegraphed that sh-t to People Mag. Same with Casper, her boyfriend before A-Rod. One day they were just over, no looking back. It sounds like Jennifer had enough of Alex’s rumored philandering, despite what People’s sources say, and she decided “bitch, I’m J.Lo, I don’t have to take this.” And then she woke up the next morning and she was like “oh sh-t but I hate being alone, nevermind.”
Something else we shouldn’t forget: Ben Affleck is single now too. He’s looming over this conversation like a giant phoenix back tattoo. Personally, I think several things can be true at once: Jennifer can hate to be alone and she’ll stay in some sh-tty relationships to avoid that AND she’s also afraid that the dating pool sucks, as evidenced by newly single Ben Affleck.
As for A-Rod’s philandering… I mean… he was allegedly sliding into the DMs of random reality show people like Madison LeCroy of Southern Charm. That rumor was everywhere and Alex allegedly got her to sign an NDA. But what about all the side chicks without NDAs?
If there are two things you can always count on Jose Canseco to do, it’s tell the truth and shoot his shot.

I find it useful to analyze how the American media treats the Windsor clan and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. People Magazine clearly wants to have their cake and eat it too – they want to provide sugary coverage of the Windsors AND they want to be the go-to source for the Sussexes in America. But what about Us Weekly? Obviously, I don’t believe Us Weekly has sources deep within the royal camps. So what are they doing? Just making it up as they go along? That’s what this story sounds like, like Us Weekly has some kind of weird image of Queen Elizabeth as a comforting-yet-distraught grandmother. When really, the opposite is true.
With Prince Harry and Meghan Markle giving up royal life and Prince Philip in the hospital, Queen Elizabeth II has been going through it.
“It’s been a rough few weeks for the queen, that’s for sure,” a source exclusively says in the new issue of Us Weekly. “The situation with Harry and Meghan has been challenging, and on top of that, she’s distraught over her beloved husband’s health setback.”
Philip, 99, was taken to King Edward VII’s Hospital in London on February 16 to receive “medical attention for an infection,” according to a Buckingham Palace spokesperson. Just three days later, Harry, 36, and Meghan, 39, announced that they will not return as working members of the British royal family after taking a step back from their duties in March 2020. In doing so, the couple pushed back on the palace’s statement about their exit, asserting that they can still “live a life of service” without the royals backing them.
“The queen has had some tearful moments mixed with anger and disappointment,” a second source tells Us. “Emotions are definitely running high.”
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s move to the U.S. has been hard on the monarch, 94, too, especially now that the parents of Archie, 21 months, have their second child on the way.
“The queen has FaceTime calls with Archie, but it’s not the same,” the second source says, noting that Elizabeth is “desperate to give Archie a huge hug.”
Raise your hand if you believe that the Queen has had any “tearful moments” recently. Raise your hand if you believe that the Queen is desperate to hug Archie. Yeah, that’s what I thought. The Queen’s issue isn’t that she’s having a bad month or that all of these terrible things are happening TO HER. The issue is that she’s an emotionally stunted, vindictive, petty a–hole who would rather smear and slime her grandson, his wife and their child just because no one has the balls to correct her worst, most tone-deaf inclinations. She’s NOT emotional. Her reaction is NOT “I need to hug my great-grandchild.” If she actually prioritized the well-being of her family, all of this would have happened much differently.
