Since we won’t be talking about the SAG red carpet until April, the Fug Girls are revisiting the SAG red carpet of 2020. I don’t know what COVID lockdown has done to my memory, because I can normally remember almost all red carpet moments, especially at award shows, but I looked through this gallery…
Sarah Jessica Parker’s been conveniently photographed a lot lately at her shoe store, especially since news broke that there will be a new Sex and the City series. But the priority here, for me at least, is these pants she had on the other day. I need these. Very badly. What would you call them? A h…
Armie Hammer continues to make all kinds of interesting decisions. He apologized to the real Miss Cayman for identifying a woman as “Ms. Cayman” on his Finsta (she was in lingerie on all fours). He released the statement to the Cayman Compass, which makes me think there was some pressure as he is a …
Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas haven’t been seen together yet in 2021. She was in Cuba for New Year’s, still wearing the gifts he gave her, but of course there have been no dog walks, no coffee runs, and even though they’d gone quiet before, like when she joined him in Ireland when he was shooting The…
WandaVision, Marvel Studio’s first foray into television—the Netflix shows don’t count, as they were produced by Marvel Entertainment—gives us our first taste of the MCU in over a year. And a weird taste it is, as we find Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen, FINALLY given something to do) and Vision (Pa…
Ethan Hawke is a Gen X icon who has, like several of his Gen X peers, entered the “interesting character actor” phase of his career (see also: Brad Pitt, Winona Ryder). Even when I don’t love the end result of a particular film, Hawke’s recent performances are unfailingly varied and interesting, and…

Remember when people used to jokingly pronounced “Target” as “tar-zhay”? Was that just a Canadian thing? Or was in the US too? Do they still do that? I haven’t heard it in a long time, but that might also be because Target is no longer in Canada. Here are Angelina Jolie and Zahara at Target this we…
As soon as we knew that Donald Trump had lost the election, security experts were raising the alarm that Trump should be denied intelligence briefings in his post-presidency. The very real concern is that Trump is a con man, a grifter and a traitor, and he would sell America’s secrets at the first opportunity. He already has access to all of America’s current secrets, although many have argued (quite successfully) that he’s literally too stupid to understand most of what he has access to. All ex-presidents have the choice about whether they’ll still receive intelligence briefings, and most ex-presidents want the updates. It might not be up to Trump though – President Biden’s incoming chief of staff says that they’re not ruling out anything.
Joe Biden’s incoming White House chief of staff on Sunday did not rule out blocking President Donald Trump from receiving intelligence briefings once he is a private citizen. Asked by CNN’s Jake Tapper on “State of the Union” whether the Biden administration would follow recommendations from a former intelligence official to limit Trump’s access to classified information, Ron Klain said, “We’ll certainly look for a recommendation from the intelligence professionals in the Biden-Harris administration once they’re in place and act on that recommendation.”
“So obviously, we don’t have those intelligence professionals in place yet. (I) hope the Senate moves to confirm them quickly and then we’ll look what they recommend in terms of intelligence sharing going forward,” he continued.
Former Trump principal deputy director of national intelligence Sue Gordon wrote in an op-ed published in The Washington Post on Friday that Trump “might be unusually vulnerable to bad actors with ill intent” once he is no longer President. “He leaves, unlike his predecessors who embraced the muted responsibilities of being a ‘former,’ with a stated agenda to stay engaged in politics and policy,” she wrote. “No departing president in the modern era has hinted at or planned on becoming a political actor immediately after leaving office.”
Gordon’s op-ed came in the wake of Trump’s role inciting a deadly insurrection at the US Capitol on January 6.

I think both things can be true at once – Trump is too stupid to understand most intelligence briefings, he’s too stupid to understand the value of the information he has at his fingertips AND he shouldn’t receive classified briefings going forward because he would sell that sh-t or reveal it for free. What concerns me as well is all of the sh-t Jared Kushner, Stephen Miller and assorted traitors have been doing for the past four years, and the knowledge they’re walking away with. God, I hope the whole fascist lot of them ends up in prison.

I’ve read a lot of lonely tweets recently, like 2020 was the year where a lot of single people hit pause on their dating lives in lockdown, but people are starting to think about what dating, sex and romance will look like in 2021. Some are optimistic, some are not. Helena Bonham Carter has some advice for single peeps: stay calm and buy a vibrator. HBC is the new spokesperson for the dating app Bumble in the UK. She honestly gave some good advice?
Helena Bonham Carter has some words of advice for all the single ladies during lockdown — get a vibrator. “The Crown” star offered her pearls of wisdom while appearing in a campaign for the dating app Bumble.
“Get a vibrator,” she said. “And a weighted blanket for hugs.” She added, “Also, do nothing. When the world is going crazy, when you are in shock from something, these are times to do nothing, be still. Forget progress. Just be. Aim for tea in the afternoon and nothing more ambitious.”
The Oscar nominee revealed that this year of lockdown has been “incredibly difficult” for her single pals.
“Women can often blame themselves but the fact is, it’s been an impossible year,” she said. “But impossibility is still the mother of creativity and there are still ways to meet people online.”
Bonham Carter, 54, has been dating writer Rye Dag Holmboe, 32, for two years. She had a long relationship with director Tim Burton with whom she shares son Billy, 17, and daughter Nell, 12. The two split in 2014.

I’m including her Bumble commercial below, it’s kind of cute. But they should have made an ad with HBC just saying all of the sh-t she says in this interview. And it’s true: men and women should give themselves a break this year. Date online, communicate online or over the phone, and figure it out that way for a few months before you meet in person, mask to mask. As for weighted blankets… I cannot! I get overheated very easily, but I get that so many people love the feel of a weighted blanket.
