Russell Brand could appear in The Simpsons if the show’s bosses get their way.

Executive producer Al Jean has praised the 33-year-old’s comedic talents.

‘I would definitely be interested in writing an episode around Russell,’ he says.

It’s also hoped US President Barack Obama, 47, can be lured into making a cameo.

‘We’d love to have Barack on the show,’ producer James L Brooks tells The Sun.

‘No president has agreed to do it yet but we’ll keep asking.

‘We’re putting all the right signals out.’
