She’s one of the music world’s most known artists, but even Shakira was a bit shocked at being asked to speak at the famous debating society at Oxford University.

 

The 32-year-old singer said it was a “privilege” to be speaking in from of the 400 students who waited in the rain for more than an hour just to see her take the stage.

During her speech, the “Hips Don’t Lie” told the crowd, “I must admit I am somewhat mystified as to why you are here, as there won’t be any singing or any hip shaking whatsoever.”

Responding to an audience member who asked what she wanted to do in the next decade, she said she was willing to embrace “new artistic challenges,” adding with a smile – “And maybe one day have babies of my own.”
